Leanne Wright (Founder)

Leanne Wright (Founder of Equality for All C.I.C.)

I have worked within the voluntary and charity sector for the past fifteen years.  My expertise is predominantly within the disability and mental health field; this involves project management, delivering grass roots projects, providing frontline support, bid writing, securing grants and commissions and business development.

I am passionate about promoting the voice of disabled people.  I have both personal and professional experience of disability and mental health issues as I am a registered carer.

I work hard to challenge poverty, discrimination and other barriers which disabled people may face.

My aim is to improve life chances and to raise aspirations for all. I enjoy a challenge and I am committed to obtaining positive outcomes for disabled people. I have made a positive difference to many families’ lives by implementing effective advocacy.

I believe that social and emotional wellbeing is paramount in leading a positive and empowering life.

I am also an approved Practice Educator; this role enables me to host students undertaking a degree in Social Work (both BA & MA).I thoroughly enjoy this role and as a result I have developed positive relationships with both Bradford and Huddersfield Universities.

My work is underpinned by the Equality Act 2010 and the social model of disability.
