A free service for disabled people living in the Calderdale and District area!
Do you feel lonely or isolated due to your illness or mental health condition? If so, why not contact us?


  • Residing in the Calderdale and District area
  • Aged between 25 to 65 years of age and have a disability and/or a mental health problem

What we do:

  • Person-centred assessments
  • Signposting
  • Home visits
  • Community activities
  • Regular social meets

This scheme is a person-centred service which brings people together to promote friendly conversation.

Activities include:

  • Going for a coffee
  • Attending a drop-in centre
  • Trips into town
  • Sporting activities
  • Meals out


  • Enhanced levels of community engagement
  • Reduced dependency on health professionals
  • Increased empowerment and independence
  • Improved emotional health and wellbeing
  • Service user participation (providing service users with a voice)
  • Increased choice and control – a service user led project
